The coronavirus pandemic seems to have hit the television industry hard. With several actors and crew members of different serials and reality shows testing positive for the virus, shoots have been halted.

The latest victim of the novel coronavirus is Indian Indol 12’s top contestant Pawandeep Rajan.

As per a Bollywood Life report, Pawandeep has tested positive for the virus and following which he was immediately quarantined.

Notably, Pawandeep is the second member of the singing reality show to test positive for Covid after host Aditya Narayan.

Following host Aditya’s contraction of covid, the makers are taking all the necessary precautions and following covid protocols to stop the spread of the virus on the set.

Even though the contestants along with the judges, host and guests on Indian Idol 12 are being tested regularly, the fear of possible spread still hangs over the contestants and the crew.

Meanwhile, the makers are still exploring if they would continue to shoot or take a break from shooting for safety concerns. And if the shoot continues it will be interesting to watch if the show goes on without Pawandeep’s soulful performances in the upcoming episodes.

Pawandeep is one of the most loved contestant on the show who have not only earned praises from the judges but has also garnered a huge fan following who will surely miss him if he remains absent in the upcoming episodes.

However, fans can still enjoy their favourite contestant’s performance as they perform for Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman which will premiere on Sony TV this weekend.
