Joe Root's double ton against India in Chennai Test was indeed a moment of joy for the British cricketers. But when Andrew Flintoff decided to use the moment to take a jibe at Amitabh Bachchan it did not go down well with an Indian user who hit back with a savage reply.
Andrew Flintoff and Amitabh Bachchan Tiff That Happened 5 Years Ago
It so happened that almost five years ago Andrew compared Joe Root with Virat Kohli on Twitter. In his tweet, the former international cricketer wrote, "At this rate @imVkohli will be as good as @root66 one day! Not sure who @englandcricket will meet in the final now!"

In response, the Bollywood's superstar asked, "@flintoff11@imVkohli@root66@englandcricket Root who? जड़ से उखाड़ देंगे Root ko ..!!!"

Now after Joe Root hit a double hundred in India against India, Andrew Flintoff thought it to be the best opportunity to take a jibe at Amitabh Bachchan using his earlier tweet. Tagging Big B's earlier tweet Andrew wrote, "With the greatest respect, this aged well."

Andrew believed that even Amitabh will find this one amusing. Replying to a Twitter user who called it a great work, the former British cricketer said, "Not really, it’s been doing the rounds again and I found it amusing. Hoping @SrBachchan does too."

While Bollywood's Shahenshah is yet to reply to these series of tweets an Indian user has hit back with a savage reply. The user @vishcomical wrote, "Replying after 5 years isn't Savage. Hitting 6 sixes in 6 balls within the next 10 mins is."

Incidentally, Yuvraj Singh had a little standoff with Andrew Flintoff before he hit 6 sixes off 6 balls during 2007's T20 World Cup.
You have a short memory Andrew, you forgot what happened after your little tete-e-tete with @YUVSTRONG12 😃 Want a repeat of it with @imVkohli ? 😀https://t.co/3u2z0TB9Cy

And the Indian just reminded the England batsman of the defeat that his country suffered after that epic innings from Yuvi.
