Sangati Jogwar

Ileana D'Cruz entered Bollywood with Anurag Basu's Barfi. The movie had a stellar star cast with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the lead but still, the Southern diva managed to attract attention. Despite getting such a good launch Ileana has not been able to convert it into a big success.

Her movies Main Tera Hero and Phata Poster Nikhla Hero with Varun Dhawan and Shahid Kapoor respectively could not take her career further. What made her sail through was the success of Raid and Baadshaho both of which starred Ajay Devgn in the lead.

At one point in time, it was thought that the Tanhaji actor favored Ileana D'Cruz as he roped her for his home production-The Big Bull opposite Abhishek Bachchan.

Post the debacle of Pagalpanti, producers are shying away from taking Ileana as the lead female star. And even Ajay Devgn now seems to be wary of repeating the Mubarakan actress in his flicks.

Ajay Devgn Favors Rakul Preet Singh Over Ileana D'Cruz For His Next Two Flicks

Raid was a big success and many believed that Devgn will repeat Ileana as the lead actress in its sequel. While the makers have not ruled out the possibility of Raid-2, reports indicate that they are searching for a fresh face as the female lead.

Late last year Ajay announced his movie Mayday which will also star Amitabh Bachchan. Apart from being the lead male star, the Khakee actor is also going to direct Mayday. But this time along instead of Ileana he has decided to give Rakul Preet Singh a chance under his directorship.

Thank God-to be directed by Indra Kumar with Ajay Devgn in the lead will also star his De De Pyar De co-star in the lead. While it is a big gain for Rakul Preet Singh who is slowly making her place in Bollywood, it is indeed a big loss for Ileana D'Cruz.

Apart from The Big Bull, the Rustom actress will be next seen with Randeep Hooda in Unfair & Lovely. The success of these two movies will decide the next career move for Ileana D'Cruz.
