Producer Ratan Jain Breaks His Silence

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, producer Ratan Jain finally addressed the speculation. He stated, "I can make Humraaz 2, if I get the right script for these two actors. We need to have scripts where they fit the part and have age-appropriate roles."

Highlighting his rapport with the stars, Jain added, "Bobby is a pleasure to work with and so is Akshaye. As for Akshaye, let him get settled for some time after his humongous success that he has seen."

For Akshaye Khanna Script Comes First

Emphasising Akshaye’s selective nature, Jain remarked, "Akshaye has always been like this- very selective in his films. Money is secondary him. If he is not happy with the script, he will reject the film."

He also revealed plans to personally meet Akshaye, calling him a close friend.

When Ameesha Patel Fanned the Sequel Fire

Following Akshaye’s widely praised performance as Rehman Dakait in Dhurandhar, Ameesha Patel publicly congratulated her former co-star. As fans urged a Humraaz reunion, she responded enthusiastically, "Jab bhi hoga...Dhamaka pakka hoga... Never say never. It might just happen." (sic)

Earlier, during an ‘Ask Me’ session on X in June 2024, Ameesha had already hinted that Humraaz 2 is in the pipeline, confirming that pre-production is underway and the script work is “fully on”.
