Hollywood star Tony Jaa is a big fan of Bollywood action films and considers Lord Hanuman a superhero. The martial arts superstar says that given a chance, he would like to bring the character of the Indian mythological world alive on the big screen.

"I know Bollywood really well, and all the action movies... (I know) Tiger Shroff, Vidyut Jammwal, Rana (Daggubati), Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan," Jaa said.

"I know them really well because I watch Bollywood movies and am a big fan. I (also) like Hanuman... (he is a) superhero," he added. Asked if he would like to work in a film as Hanuman, Jaa said: "Yeah, that would be awesome."

For the action star of Asia origin, entering the cinematic superhero space is a dream, which he hopes to realize one day.

"I would like to become a superhero for DC or Marvel... that's my dream. I would like to play a superhero like Spider-Man or Batman or Deadpool. I like movies by these studios. This is my dream. If my dream comes true, it is good," added the Thai martial arts star.

Over the years, Tony Jaa has found inroads to Hollywood backed by the success of his "Ong-Bak" and "Tom-Yum-Goong" franchises of martial arts action films. He has crossed over with appearances in "Furious 7", "xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage", "Jiu Jitsu", "Master Z: The IP Man Legacy", and will soon be seen in the upcoming "Monster Hunter".

"I think Hollywood needs more Asian actors, and like a cultural exchange, like a culture to get them together -- and make more good connections, good collaboration and good teams," said the stuntman-turned-actor, who spent his youth as an elephant herder.

"When I work in a Hollywood movie, it is a very different experience for me. It is a good experience for me in terms of the technology and budget. I think it is a good time, good experience, and good opportunity for me to work in a Hollywood movie," added the star, who decided to follow in the footsteps of action heroes Jackie Chan and Jet Li after watching their martial arts films.
