Voting for the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu began on Tuesday. Several leading movie stars of the Tamil film industry cast their votes early in the morning. The presence of stars led to some high drama scenes at the pooling booths and eventually kicked off a war of sorts between Ajith and Vijay’s fans.

Actor Ajit Kumar and Shalini had reached their polling booth about 20 minutes before the start of polling to vote early in order to avoid the fan crowd. However, while he was at the pooling booth, the fan crowd went berserk. A man tried to get a selfie with Ajith without his permission, this irked the star as the fan was also unmasked and defying the social distancing norms. In a rare sight, Ajith lost his cool and took away the fan’s phone and gave it back after some time. The actor is known to be a private person but obliges his fans when requested to be clicked.

The video of this incident has gone viral on social media and became a topic of discussion. While one side supports Thala, fans of Vijay who are known to be at cross swords with Ajith’s fans were comparing his behavior with Thalapathy Vijay and criticizing him.

Meanwhile, Superstar Vijay on Tuesday morning cycled to the polling booth to cast his vote in Chennai. Thalapathy Vijay was seen cycling to his polling booth with a large number of people following him on two-wheelers.

The cycling by Vijay to vote has kicked up speculation as to whether the actor is making a statement on high prices of petrol and diesel. However, Vijay’s spokesperson released a statement saying that since the booth was nearby he decided to cycle as taking a car would have made the road even more congested and there wasn’t any other intention.
