Amitabh Bachchan never declares the way he helps the destitute and needy. Reports are that along with Salman Khan he was one of the few stars who supported the film workers during the COVID-19 crisis. But Big B is really impressed by one group that does a lot of charity. And that is Robin Hood Army.

On 15 August, the superstar sent his best wishes for the group fighting for those affected due to lockdown during the corona pandemic. He wrote, "T 3628 - Wishing Neel and his ROBIN HOOD ARMY ( RHA ) my best wishes for their incredible work in feeding the hungry.. It was a delight to have you on KBC and now my very best for .. CoVid Fightback."

Robin Hood Army's Neel Ghose Appeared On Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2018

The co-founder of Robin Hood Army Neel Ghose appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati 10 in 2018 along with Kajol. Amitabh Bachchan respectfully introduced him as Robin Hood Army ke commander. He appeared under the special segment of the show - KBC Karmaveer. The organization of Ghose gathers excess food from communities and restaurants and distributes it to the needy.

During the COVID-19 crisis, Ghose and his team came up with the "Mission 30M" program-the largest food relief effort by civic society to fight COVID. The aim was to serve staple food to 30 million people by bringing together the corporates, food industry, media houses, and 60,000+ Robins from 1st July to 15 August.

The army of Robins covered rural and urban areas of around 10 countries. The zero-fund, volunteer-based Robin Hood Army impressed Amitabh Bachchan to a large extent. That is why during lockdown he kept on supporting it through his encouraging tweets.

Post recovering from COVID-19, Amitabh Bachchan is now busy shooting for the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The show will most probably air on Sony Television from the second week of September onwards.
