Mirai, starring Teja Sajja, Ritika Nayak, and Manchu Manoj, collected a massive ₹140.08 crore worldwide in just 12 days of release. Despite its strong run, producer TG Vishwa Prasad has made the surprising decision to temporarily pull the film from theatres. The move comes “out of respect” for Power Star Pawan Kalyan, ensuring his much-awaited flick They Call Him OG gets the widest possible release.

Making Way for OG’s Big Premiere

Sujeeth’s gangster drama OG, headlined by Pawan Kalyan alongside Emraan Hashmi and Priyanka Mohan, is set to release in theatres on 25 September with paid premieres on 24 September at 10 PM. To secure the maximum number of screens for OG, Vishwa Prasad has withdrawn Mirai from theatres for a show on Wednesday and all of Thursday.

Producer’s Heartfelt Announcement

Producer SKN confirmed the news on X (formerly Twitter), sharing, “Out of respect for #PawanKalyan garu #Mirai #TheRajaSaab producer @vishwaprasadtg garu decided to allocate many MIRAI screens to #TheyCallHimOG on 25th September, 2025. From 26th September, MIRAI will be available in those screens. Lovely gesture.” (sic)

OG’s Star Power and Speculations

Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment, OG also features music by Thaman S. Apart from Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi, the film boasts a stellar cast including Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj. Adding to the excitement, buzz is rife about Prabhas making a cameo appearance as Saaho, hinting at a potential crossover. The truth, however, will only be revealed once OG hits the big screens.
