Govinda dating a woman, not an actress! Wife Sunita Ahuja seeks an end to controversies

Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, has finally addressed the rumours surrounding her husband’s alleged affair, making it clear that the speculation has deeply affected her. 

Speaking to ETimes, Sunita dismissed claims linking Govinda to a young Marathi actor and alleged that the woman involved is not from the film industry.

“She only wants his money”

Opening up about the impact of the controversy, Sunita described 2025 as an emotionally difficult year. “I treat 2025 as a very bad year for me because I’ve been hearing about Govinda’s controversy that he is having an affair with a girl,” she said. 

She firmly stated that the woman is not an actress, adding, “Actresses don’t do such bad things. She doesn’t love him; she only wants his money.”
Sunita’s remarks reflect both frustration and hurt, as the rumours continue to circulate despite the couple being married for over three decades.

Sunita urges Govinda to end the controversies

Expressing hope for the future, Sunita said she wants a fresh start in 2026. “I want Govinda to put an end to all these controversies, and I want a happy family in 2026,” she said, adding that she hopes her husband realises who truly matters in his life.

She went on to make a strong statement about boundaries in relationships. “The most important things in a man’s life are three women — his mother, his wife, and his daughter. No one has the right to keep the fourth woman in their life. This is for every man in the world, including Govinda,” she said.

Sunita also criticised the people surrounding Govinda, saying she wants him to distance himself from those who are only with him for money and focus on his work instead.

Divorce rumours firmly denied

Earlier this year, rumours of a possible divorce between Govinda and Sunita had surfaced. Addressing the speculation during a Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, Sunita strongly dismissed the claims. In an emotional statement to the media, she asserted that their closeness proved there was no truth to the rumours and insisted that no one could separate them.
