Gaurav Khanna’s post–Bigg Boss 19 journey sparks fresh buzz around Anupamaa comeback

Actor Gaurav Khanna rose to nationwide popularity with his portrayal of Anuj Kapadia in Anupamaa, starring Rupali Ganguly in the titular role. Although Gaurav exited the Rajan Shahi production a few months ago, his journey since then has only strengthened his fan following.

After leaving the daily soap, Gaurav participated in Celebrity MasterChef and later entered Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan. His composed gameplay and quiet confidence helped him become the first finalist of the season.

Hints of a Possible Comeback

Speculation around Gaurav’s return to Anupamaa has intensified following his earlier interviews. In a conversation with Pinkvilla, the actor described Anuj Kapadia as “a comma, not a full stop,” suggesting the character’s story is not over. He clarified that while the current storyline had no space for Anuj, Indian television often allows room for unexpected comebacks.

Adding fuel to the rumours, Gaurav told News18 that Anuj remains one of his favourite roles and hinted that returning is always a possibility. He also revealed in a FilmyGyan interview that Anuj Kapadia was initially meant to be a short cameo, later extended due to overwhelming audience love.

Anupamaa’s Current Track Raises Hope

In the ongoing storyline, Anupamaa has restarted her catering business in Mumbai and secured a major order from the AK Group of companies. She firmly believes Anuj is alive and will return, a narrative twist that has captured viewers’ attention and reignited reunion hopes.
