On Monday, several media outlets reported that the veteran actor’s condition had turned critical, claiming he had been placed on ventilator support in the ICU. The alarming news triggered widespread concern among fans and well-wishers across the nation.

However, these reports were quickly debunked by Dharmendra’s family and representatives.

Sunny Deol and Family Clarify the Situation

Amid growing speculation, Sunny Deol’s team issued a statement dismissing the circulating reports as baseless. They assured fans that the actor was recovering well, stating that the rumours were “rumours,” and Dharmendra is "getting better."

Shortly after, Dharmendra’s team also spoke to NDTV, confirming that the actor was stable, "Mr. Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family's right to privacy."

Hema Malini Requests Fans’ Prayers

Veteran actress and Dharmendra’s wife, Hema Malini, also took to social media to update fans about her husband’s health. In her tweet, she expressed gratitude for the outpouring of concern: "I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji, who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored, and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery." (sic)

Following her post, Hema Malini, Sunny Deol, and Dharmendra’s grandsons Karan Deol and Rajveer Deol were spotted arriving at the hospital to be by his side.

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan Show Support

Soon after, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were seen visiting the hospital as well, extending their support to the Deol family and the veteran actor.

Even as updates from the family clarified Dharmendra’s improving condition, false reports of his death began circulating widely on social media. Platforms were soon flooded with RIP messages and condolences from misinformed users.
