Sara Ali Khan already completed a major portion of Atrangi Re shooting with Dhanush and Akshay Kumar in Varanasi earlier this year. The team had to put the rest of the shooting on hold after the government declared lockdown.
Currently, Dhanush and the Love Aaj Kal actors are shooting the final leg of the Aanand L. Rai directed flick.
Sara Ali Khan Plays Dual Role in Atrangi Re
This Aanand L. Rai movie is a lifetime opportunity for Sara as she gets to play a dual role. The movie is set in two different eras and Sara will romance both Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. It will be mostly shot in Madurai and Bihar.
Interestingly, the movie will be in a completely different zone which the Zero director has never tried before. It will have a lot of humor with two stories running parallel. Atrangi Re will have Sara romancing two different characters from two different timelines.
