Plot: A Case That Crosses Borders and Conscience
In Season 3, DCP Vartika Chaturvedi (Shefali Shah) faces her toughest case yet when an abandoned baby leads her team to uncover a massive human trafficking network operated by a ruthless kingpin known as Badi Didi (Huma Qureshi). What begins as a local investigation soon escalates into a national hunt, exposing the grim reality of a society complicit in silence.
“She’s fighting an enemy that not only crosses borders but hides within society,” said Shefali Shah. “Human trafficking isn’t the act of a few; it’s a symptom of a society that looks away.”
New Faces Join the Universe
Alongside the returning cast — Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Jaya Bhattacharya, and Anuraag Arora — this season introduces Huma Qureshi, Sayani Gupta, Mita Vasisht, Kelly Dorji, and Anshumaan Pushkar in pivotal roles.
Huma Qureshi, who plays Meena (Badi Didi), described her role as both powerful and unsettling: “She’s shaped by trauma — both victim and perpetrator. Delhi Crime doesn’t sensationalise; it confronts uncomfortable truths.”
