Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma - currently a contestant on the reality show Rise And Fall - recently stirred controversy by alleging that Chahal cheated on her just two months into their marriage. The remarks came during her conversation with actress Kubbra Sait, sparking widespread discussions online.

Now, Yuzvendra Chahal has spoken out for the first time, putting an end to the swirling rumours. The cricketer dismissed the allegations as “baseless and exhausting,” asserting that he has long moved past that chapter of his life.
'I Don’t Cheat...'
During an interview with Hindustan Times, Chahal firmly denied all claims of infidelity, saying, “I am a sportsperson and I do not cheat. Agar koi two months mein hi cheat karta toh itna lamba relationship chalta kya? For me, this chapter is over, done and dusted. I have moved forward with my life and everyone else should do, too.”
He stressed that his marriage lasted over four years, which contradicts the claims made by Dhanashree Verma.
Allegations Don't Align With Reality!
Reflecting on their 4.5-year-long marriage, Chahal added that the allegations don’t align with reality.
“Hamari shaadi 4.5 years thi. Agar two months mein cheat hua hota toh kaun continue karta? Mai pehle bhi bol chuka hun ki mai past se nikal chuka hun. But some people are still stuck there… unka ghar mere naam se chal raha hai toh they can continue doing that. I am not concerned or affected,” said Chahal.
He made it clear that the topic holds no relevance in his current life and that he refuses to dwell on it any further.
'This Is the Last Time I’ll Speak About It'
Chahal emphasised that this would be his final statement regarding his past relationship.
He said, “Mai iss chapter ko bhula chuka hun. Koi kuch bhi keh deta hai, and social media pe chal jata hai. 100 baatein chalti hain, but the truth is only one, and those who matter, know it. Mere liye chapter closed hai. I don’t want to address it ever again.”
