Korean boy band BTS is undoubtedly one of the most popular bands in the world. BTS have millions of fans across the world and their fans are popularly known as ARMY.
ARMY stands for ‘Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth’. M.C. (master of ceremonies) is a term used for top-level rappers who are masters at their craft.
BTS is known for being connected with their fans or ARMYs.
BTS members Jungkook, Jin, V, RM, Suga, J-Hope, and Jimin are often seen going out of their way to make sure their fans never feel abandoned or unappreciated as they include them in some personal aspects of their day to day lives and in their music.
While the ARMYs also form an integral part of the band success across globe, it makes sure to celebrate every milestone of the band and give them unconditional love and support irrespective of their wins or losses at award shows.
All the band members love their ARMYs. However, BTS member Jimin aka Park Ji-min stands out a bit as he has been pretty vocal about his love for the ARMY.
Here’s some of Jimin’s heartfelt statements for the ARMY which shows his eternal love for them:
‘I want the best things to happen to you guys’
During the 2016 BTS “Muster,” it’s an annual event that essentially combines a live concert with a meet-and-greet, Jimin had said, “Here’s something I wanted to share with you all. I want you to smile for real – not one of those smiles that you put on your face to move on with your day, but a real smile from pure happiness in your heart. I want you to always be able to put on that kind of smile. I want the best things to happen to you guys. You understand, right?”
‘This is not the end of us’
At band’s 2017 Wings Concert, the Filter singer had said, “I just wanted to thank you all for helping us come this far. I am forever grateful. And there is so much more I want to share with you. Don’t worry. This is not the end of us.”
‘I want to make you the happiest person in the world too’
At 2018’s Tokyo Dome Concert, the singer had said, “It makes me so happy that I’ve become someone important in your lives. And because you make me so happy, I want to make you the happiest person in the world too.”
‘Each and every one of your voices count’
Expressing his love for the ARMY at 2019’s Love Yourself Hong Kong Concert, Jimin had said, “I wanted to point out how much your love means to us. Each and every one of your voices count. Thank you for your endless love and support. And it would make me so much happier if you all could love yourselves as much as you love us. I just really wanted to tell you guys that. I really love you all.”
‘I don’t think I can live without you all’
“ARMYs have been with us ever since. And together, we’ve come all the way here somehow. So now, I don’t think I can live without you all,” said the singer during the band annual BTS FESTA in 2019.
‘BTS members and ARMYs are the heroes in my life’
“BTS members and ARMYs are the heroes in my life. I wanted to be, and should have been, everyone’s hero, but there were times I hit rock bottom and suffered in the pits of despair. It was the members and ARMYs who stayed by his side through that darkness. They are my heroes. I’m not lying, I’m serious. I am so grateful for them,” said Jimin during an interview to Anan Magazine.
