South Korean Pop Group BTS
Fans of famous South Korean pop group BTS have slammed the German host of radio show Bayhem 3 for his anti-racial, anti-Asian remark. The Bavarian radio station found itself on the radar of criticism after its presenter Matthias Matuschik made certain controversial remarks that upset the K-pop band's die-hard fans.
According to reports, Matuschik compared BTS with coronavirus that created a storm on the internet.
Matuschik's Dislike Towards BTS' Latest Cover Triggered Uproar
The host of the German radio show made comments on the latest BTS cover of the Coldplay song Fix. He indirectly abused the group as well as the song which did not go well with the fans. Matuschik said, "These little a**holes brag about the fact they covered 'Fix You' from Coldplay, this is blasphemy. For this, you will be vacationing in North Korea for the next 20 years!"
The host even went on to say that BTS was a virus similar to COVID-19 and hopefully soon a vaccine will be available for them.

reading more of what that German radio host said against bts & it’s just so uncalled for & entirely unprovoked (as all racist & xenophobic rants are). And we all know this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. @bayern3, hold this host accountable now.

The uproar that followed on the internet was unexpected forcing the host to apologize. In his statement, Matuschik said he simply meant to express his displeasure with the cover of the above-mentioned song.
His statement further says, "In this instance, in an attempt to express his opinion with ironic exaggeration and with feigned over-the-top irritation, he misjudged his choice of words and thus hurt the feelings of the BTS fans.”
