Birthday boy Ranveer Singh shares first look of upcoming movie ‘83’

Bhubaneswar: Gully boy actor Ranveer Singh who turned 34 today, revealed his look as Kapil Dev from the upcoming sports drama ‘83’, one of the most anticipated films for next year. The actor took to his social media account to share his photo as Kapil Dev, better known as the ‘Haryana Hurricane’.

As soon as Ranveer shared the picture on his official twitter handle, it garnered over 24K likes and 800 plus comments within two hours.

The movie '83' is based on the life of veteran and legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, which talks about the time team India won the coveted World Cup in 1983.

Directed by Kabir Khan, the film also features actors like R Badree, Hardy Sandhu, Chirag Patil, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Bhasin, Ammy Virk and Saahil Khattar.

Deepika Padukone is playing the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia in the film scheduled to release on April 10, 2020.
