Salman Khan
Every season of Bigg Boss brings drama inside the house and sometimes, outside it too. This year, host Salman Khan has once again become a talking point, with rumours swirling about his Rs 150–200 crore paycheck and allegations that he’s biased toward certain contestants. Producer Rishi Negi of Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India addressed these viral claims in a candid chat with India Today.
Is Salman Khan Really Biased?
Over the years, Salman has faced accusations of favouring some contestants, from Amaal Mallik to Kunickaa Sadanand, while being tougher on others. Negi clarified that Salman closely follows the show before every Weekend Ka Vaar.
“He tries to catch the episodes, and even when he can’t, he watches key highlights and gets feedback from trusted people,” Negi said. “He forms his own opinion. No one can make Salman say something he doesn’t believe in.”

The Truth About His Paycheck
On the subject of Salman’s massive salary, Negi didn’t confirm figures but stated, “The contract is between him and JioHotstar. Whatever the number, he’s worth every penny.”
A Decade of Hosting Dominance
Salman joined Bigg Boss in Season 4 and has since become the face of the franchise. Whether it’s handling controversies or delivering witty reality checks, the show’s weekends truly belong to him. Bias or not, one thing is clear, Bigg Boss wouldn’t be the same without Salman Khan.
