Notice Sent to Women’s Commissions
Copies of the legal notice have also been filed with the National Commission for Women and the Maharashtra State Women’s Commission. The notice stated that Farrhana’s family chose to respond “with dignity and legal recourse rather than stoop to mudslinging.”
What Sparked the Controversy
During an October interview, Roshan Bhinder referred to Farrhana as “evil” and compared her to a demon, using inflammatory language that sparked widespread outrage. The remarks prompted Farrhana’s family to act, citing them as “defamatory and communally charged.”
