Bigg Boss 12: Jasleen's Father opens up about her relationship with Anup Jalota

Bigg Boss 12 started with many twists and new concepts last Saturday. The show's theme, 'Vichitra Jodi' brought some interesting pairs to the show out of which the Anup-Jasleen jodi ended up garnering the most attention.

When Bhajan Samraat Anup Jalota revealed his 'jodidaar' and their relationship, everyone, including Salman Khan himself, were in awe.

28-year old Jasleen Matharu is a pupil of Anup Jalota and they have been dating for more than three years now.

In an interview with The Times of India, before entering the house, Jasleen had said, "This is going to come as a huge shock to my parents and friends as no one is aware of my relationship with Anup Jalota ji."

The news has saddened fans of Jalota. But there has been no visible outrage as yet, except trolling and criticism.

Since then, fans had been wondering to know how her family would react to the news. Meanwhile, Jasleen's father Kesar Matharu has come out defending his daughter in this buzz.

Matharu is a film-maker and Jasleen had made her acting debut in one of his movies, 'The Dirty Relation'.

Speaking to News18, Kesar said, “This news was a shocker for me as well as for my family. However, I don’t want to comment anything on her personal life till I meet her. She is on the Bigg Boss 12 house and want her to stay positive and emerge as the winner of the show.”

Responding to trolling and criticisms, he further said, "I am not at all disturbed by the online bashing. She is a trained singer and had done various stage shows with many popular Bollywood singers. We belong to a very reputed family and my daughter is already a prominent figure in the industry and there is no point of seeking cheap publicity."

"There are many other contestants who have controversial past, my daughter has not done anything wrong. I wish her all the best for the show and be an inspiration for the society," he added.

Meanwhile, Jasleen's family is also getting strong support from people who see nothing wrong in the relationship of the duo.

On the other hand, Jasleen is reportedly the fourth girl in Jalota's life as the latter has already walked down the aisle thrice.

It will be interesting to see how their story unfolds throughout the show.
