Bhumi Pednekar was recently in the limelight for the release of her new movie “Saand Ki Aankh” in which she starred alongside Tapsee Pannu. Before making her debut as an actress in the movies through “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” Bhumi worked as an assistant casting director for Yash Raj Films. In the first movie she played the role of an overweight bride and was awarded with the Filmfare Award For Best Female Debut. The slightly overweight Bhumi had to gain 12 kg more to fit in the role. Immediately after wrapping the shoot, she lost a significant amount of weight so that she could do other normal roles.
Recently during her session on “Starry Nights 2” the darling of many hearts revealed that she had a crush on a leading star of Bollywood. And he is none other than the “Judwa 2” actor Varun Dhawan. Bhumi nurses a soft corner for this actor but there is no way she can come close to him because Varun is already dating Natash Dalal and has said that he plans to marry her someday.

So, the dream of Bhumi to have at least a fling with her crush may not come true. But professionally, the girl is doing quite well. After making a successful debut through Sharat Katariya’s “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” Bhumi went on to star opposite Akshay Kumar in one of the topmost hits of that year, “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha” through which Bhumi established herself as a strong actress.
Bhumi Pednekar has many more movies in her kitty and will be next seen opposite Kartik Aaryan in “Pati Patni Aur Woh” which also stars Ananya Panday.
