Actress Shilpa Shinde shot to fame with her impeccable comic timing and innocent charm as Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai. But now, if reports are to be believed, the OG Angoori Bhabhi is in talks to make a grand comeback to the sitcom and she may soon reclaim her throne!

Shilpa Shinde to Return as Angoori Bhabhi?

As per reports, Shilpa Shinde is in advanced discussions to reprise her role as Angoori Bhabhi, taking over from Shubhangi Atre, who has portrayed the character since 2016.

Times of India quoted a source as saying, “Yes, there are talks for Shilpa to return as Angoori Bhabhi and everyone is hoping the deal materialises soon. The decision was made as everyone feels the show needs a revival. After running successfully for a decade, the channel wants to introduce new elements and characters to refresh Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai.”

The insider also added, “A new set is being built, and viewers can expect major changes in the storyline. The makers plan to begin shooting for Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai 2.0 by mid-December.”

Although neither Shilpa Shinde nor producer Binaiferr Kohli has broken their silence on the matter, fans are already abuzz online, eagerly awaiting an official confirmation.

When Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai first aired in 2015 under Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli’s Edit II Productions, Shilpa’s portrayal of Angoori Bhabhi instantly became a nationwide phenomenon.
