Hyderabad: If rumours related to the marriage of Baahubali Prabhas and his alleged relationship with multi-talented actress Anushka Shetty were not enough, here comes another rumour about the Rebel star that he would be seen contesting the upcoming general elections.

If the rumours are anything to go by, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is considering to field Prabhas as an MLA candidate in 2019 polls in Andhra Pradesh.

Rumours mills are also churning that the saffron party is planning to appoint Prabhas' uncle Krishnam Raju as the Governor of the state, quite interesting rumour though it has no base.

According to a report of IBTimes, the BJP is mulling an invitation to Krishnam Raju and Prabhas to Delhi to hold a discussion in this regard.

If any such thing happens, it is believed that Krishnam Raju might accept the offer of the BJP but Prabhas, who is at the peak of his career and being a person who is so shy talking in public, down-to-earth and honest, might not want to join politics.

Besides, the Baahubali star has a lot of projects in hand and it might not be possible for him to get time for hectic campaigns and more.

Meanwhile, the truth is 'there is no truth to all these rumours' as neither has Prabhas' uncle nor has the actor himself made any confirmation about any such plans.

On the work front, the high-octane action thriller of Prabhas, which is much awaited movie, is expected to hit the theaters on August 15, 2019.
