Ayushmann Khurrana & Sharvari Wagh to begin shooting Sooraj Barjatya’s new family saga on...!

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari Wagh are all geared up to star in eminent filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s next family entertainer, produced under the iconic Rajshri Productions banner. The yet-untitled film is co-produced by Mahaveer Jain Films, marking another heartwarming collaboration between the two production houses. Since its announcement, the project has been generating a buzz for bringing together a fresh lead pair and Barjatya’s signature brand of emotional storytelling.

Filming Kicks Off Next Month

According to reports, Ayushmann Khurrana, who is currently promoting his upcoming flick Thamma (releasing October 21, 2025), will soon join Sharvari Wagh, who is busy shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next in Amritsar. Once both wrap up their current commitments, they will begin shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s new directorial on November 1, 2025. 

As revealed by a source, “After Uunchai (2022), Sooraj Barjatya’s last film, Rajshri Productions has decided to join hands once again with Mahaveer Jain Films. Both Sooraj Barjatya and Mahaveer Jain had a wonderful time working with each other on Uunchai and hence, they decided to collaborate yet again.”

A Signature Barjatya Touch

A report by Times Now quoted the insider further saying, “The film goes on floors on November 1. It is a romantic family entertainer and would have the trademark Sooraj Barjatya stamp. Besides Ayushmann, it also stars Sharvari.”

The upcoming family drama is presented and produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films and Anita Gurnani.
