Bhubaneswar: In keeping with the credo of PM Narendra Modi's 'Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat' crusade, the Union Government on Monday has decided to knock down the Art 370, a temporary provision inserted in Constitution by a Presidential decree in 1952 granting special status to Jammu & Kashmir.

While the historic decision by the Modi Sarkar 2.0 has brought a tsunami of sorts in the Indian political scenario, Bollywood family, for whom the picturesque Kashmir has been the toast aka of Yeh Kashmir hai.. fame, was among the first to hail the 'historic' move in social media.

As The Dangal girl Zaira Wasim, who belongs to Kashmir valley, tweeted 'This too shall pass', the tip-tip barsa paani.. actress Raveena Tandon hailing the move tweeted a series of Indian flag emojis.

Actor Vikram Messy of A Death in the Gunj fame tweeted "Never did I think I'd say this. But, THANK YOU! @BJP4India @AmitShah & @narendramodi. It had to go! #Article370. Those warning of "dangerous consequences" SHAME ON YOU! #OneNationOneLaw."

Releasing a past video where Kangana Ranaut was seen emphatically stressing on abrogating Art 370,  'The Queen' of Bollywood's statement reads as "Scrapping of Article 370 was long due, it is a historic step in the direction of terrorism-free nation, I have been emphasising on this for the longest time, and I knew if anyone could achieve this impossible feat that is Mr Modi.... I congratulate entire Bharat including Jammu and Kashmir on this historic day, we are together looking at a very bright future."

However, reactions from Bollywood's seedha saada Akshaya Kumar, the Khans and Big B or Chintu Kapoor aka Bobby star Rishi Kapoor are yet to surface on social media.
