“This is my third flick with Arindam after ‘Ishq Hai Tu Hi Tu’ & ‘Kalki’. This is a commercial biopic on Abdul Amin Khan, a resident of Balasore. The film will showcase the struggles of Abdul, who was initially sewing clothes in his market village and then went to Delhi. Later, through his hardwork and determination, he managed to establish his name in international garment market,” said Sargharia.

Bobby Mishra is playing the role of Babu Bhaijaan’s friend who supports him in his ups and downs. Mihir Das will be seen as the father of Arindam. Several other veteran and reputed actors- Samaresh Routray, Manoj Mishra, Sritam Das, Bidusmita, Pradyumna Lenka and Puspa Panda will also be seen playing important characters in the biopic.

“I am happy to see the response and hope the movie will do well,” said Arindam adding that some songs of the movie have been shot in Jordan.

“This is for the first time in Odia cine industry that a movie is made on the biography of a common man. This will be an example and inspire other movie makers in Odisha to take up such projects,” said Mihir Das.

Sivani said, “I am excited as well as nervous. In Odisha, people always complain that Odia film industry always produce remakes and copies of other films but Babu Bhaijaan is an original content. I hope the movie will perform well at the box office.”

A joint venture of Tarang Cine Productions and Khawaja Garib Nawaz Productions, Babu Bhaijaan has been written by Santosh Narayan Das and the music score has been given by Malay Mishra. Bollywood singers Shaan and Abhijeet Bhattacharya have lent their voices for some songs in the movie.
