The release date of Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi was declared today. Alia took to social media to announce that the movie based on the life of a sex worker will be released on 30 July 2021. The poster has already triggered a lot of anticipation and hype for Gangubai Kathiawadi among the moviegoers. Incidentally, today is the birthday of Sanjay Leela Bhansali which is why the makers wanted to unveil the release date today.
Earlier a source said, "Sanjay feels it is too early to put out a teaser as the release date is yet to be decided. But his team feels his birthday is a good time for his latest film to be introduced to the public. Hence, the first teaser on February 24."
