According to Bollywood Hungama, the actress has given her career-best performance in this SLB movie based on the life of the head of a brothel in Rajasthan. Alia will portray a dark character that required her to use coarse and guttural language. And for that, it was important that she cuts off and unlearns her sophistication and manners.

Until now, in most of her Karan Johar movies, Alia Bhatt's characters were all about romance, designer dresses, and modern lifestyles.
