Akshay Kumar Tests Positive For COVID-19, Under Home Quarantine

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has tested positive for COVID-19 and is under home quarantine.

“I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself,” Akshay said in a tweet on Sunday morning.

“I’m under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact me get themselves tested and take care. Back in action soon!,  added the Khiladi actor.

Akshay Kumar has wrapped up the shoot of spy thriller ‘Bell Bottom’ and Sara Ali Khan-Dhanush starrer ‘Atrangi Re’.

Akshay Kumar began the shooting for ‘Ram Setu’ with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha recently.

Earlier on Friday, Alia Bhatt had tested positive for COVID-19. The 28-year-old actor took to Instagram and posted a note, informing her fans that she is currently following all the safety protocols listed by her doctors.

“I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care,” wrote Alia.
