The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released recruitment notification for the positions of CRPF, BSF and CISF. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions before the deadline.

SSC Jobs 2018 Vacancy Detail

Total Posts: 54,953

For Male: BSF-14436, CISF-180, CRPF-19972, SSB-6521, ITBP-3507, AR-2311, NIA-08 and SSF-372.

For Female: BSF-2548, CISF-20, CRPF-1594, SSB-2025, ITBP-619, AR-765, NIA-00 and SSF-75.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying must have completed Matriculation from a recognized board/university.

Age Limit (as on 01st August 2018)

Candidates between 18-23 years age group can only apply. Age relaxation for SC/ST is 05 years while for OBC, it is 03 years.

Physical Standards

It is believed that a few changes, SSC has brought in regards to the physical standards this time. While the changes are yet to be known, the requisite detail for the above mentioned posts, as per the notification, is as follows:

Height: Males- 170 cm, Females- 157 cm

Chest: For Males 80 cm with a Min Expansion of 5 cm

Weight: For males and Females the weight and age should be accepted as per their medical standards.

Meanwhile, reservation to different categories will be admissible as per the norms of the central government.

Salary

Selected candidates will get pay in between Rs 21,700 – Rs 69,100.

Selection Process

The recruitment of the candidates will be done through four different steps:

  1. Physical Standards Test (PST)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Written Examination
  4. Medical Examination

The selection of the candidates will be made based on the merit. The minimum cut-off marks for selection will be 35% for General and Ex-servicemen, 33% for SC/ST/OBC. However, the cutoff limit is relaxable at the discretion of the Commission.

Examination Pattern

The candidates who get qualified in the physical efficiency test can only appear for the written exam.

There will be 4 parts in the question paper- each 25 marks

General Intelligence: 25 questions

English/Hindi: 25 questions

Elementary Mathematics: 25 questions

General Knowledge and Awareness: 25 questions

Application Process

Online registration process for the SSC recruitment 2018 starts from July 21, 2018. Candidates will have to shell out Rs 100 as application fee.
