NTA announces two-day correction window for JEE (Main) 2026 session 2; edits open February 27–28
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a correction window for candidates registered for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2, allowing them to edit or modify particulars in their online application forms.
The decision comes after the Agency received representations from candidates seeking an opportunity to make corrections in their submitted application forms. Considering the interest of students, NTA has decided to provide a one-time correction facility.
Correction Schedule
The correction window for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 will remain open from 27 February to 28 February 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). The fields permitted for correction are specified in Annexure 1.
Who Can Avail the Facility
The correction facility is available to:
Candidates who have applied as fresh applicants for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2, and
Candidates who had applied for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 and have also registered for Session 2.
All registered candidates have been advised to visit the official website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/
to verify their particulars and make corrections, if required, within the stipulated time.
Deadline and Important Instructions
Candidates must complete all corrections by 28 February 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). NTA has clearly stated that no corrections will be entertained under any circumstances after this deadline.
Wherever applicable, additional fees arising from changes in particulars must be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI.
The Agency has emphasised that this is a one-time facility being extended to avoid hardship to candidates. Applicants have been advised to make corrections carefully, as no further opportunity for modification will be provided.
Application Deadline Reminder
NTA has reiterated that the last date for submission of the online application for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 is 25 February 2026, and there will be no further extension of this deadline.
