Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: With the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Board examinations round the corner, students are busy preparing and don't want to miss anything helping them to score well. Between all this process, students often faces stress and sometimes they have queries related to subjects, syllabus, admit cards, preparations, certificate, centres and others.

Therefore, the students need a one-stop solution- a platform by the CBSE to clear all their doubts... And for that a 'Citizen’s Charter’ is needed. The Board has meanwhile said that formation of the same is ‘in process’.

The idea behind the Citizen’s Charter is to provide a single platform to for public services and look into their queries in case something goes wrong. This charter also makes citizens aware of their rights and other important rules and regulations.

Unable to find the same on the Board's website, one Mohit Kumar Gupta has reportedly filed a Right to Information (RTI) to the Ministry of Human Resources Department (MHRD) seeking information about the citizen charter, The Pioneer reported.

“It is informed that the preparation of Citizen Charter in respect of CBSE is in process,” CBSE replied to the RTI query.

“CBSE being an all Indian institution and prominent school board must cater to the information deficiency gap existing for students, parents and other stakeholders. The spirit of transparency and accountability must prevail and grievance redressal for students be incorporated through strict implementation of citizen charter,” The Pioneer quoted Gupta as saying.
