New Delhi: The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced the results for the annual Class-10 examination.

While the overall pass percentage is 91.46 %, Bhubaneswar region's pass percentage is 93.2%.

Like previous years, girls outdo boys in the examination. While 93.31 per cent girls cleared the examination, boys pass percentage stood at 90.14 per cent. A total of 78.95% transgender candidates passed the board examination, DD News tweeted.

Trivandrum region recorded the highest pass percentage of 99.28, while Guwahati region reported the lowest at 79.12 per cent.

Over 1.84 lakh students score above 90 per cent, more than 41,000 students score above 95 per cent marks, PTI reported.

Two students from Bhubaneswar Ankita Mondal and Priya Somedutta Nayak scored 99.2 per cent in CBSE class 10 examination result.

Union Human Resource Development Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank informed the development in a tweet.

“Dear Students, Parents, and Teachers! CBSE has announced the results of Class X. We congratulate you all for making this possible. I reiterate, student's health & quality education are our priority,” tweeted the minister.

CBSE Chairman Manoj Ahuja also congratulated the students and wished them for their future endeavours.

Meanwhile, CBSE has sent complete class X results to all schools and can be checked from official email IDs created for each school. Moreover, Class X results are also being sent to students through SMS, email and can also be accessed through Digi locker, CBSE tweeted.

How to see CBSE Class X results online?

  • The results can be seen at the CBSE official website that is cbseresults.nic.in.
  • Alternatively, results can be checked using these URLs as well - results.nic.in and cbse.nic.in.
  • Students need to enter Roll Number, School Number, Center Number, and Admit Card Id, and any other details as asked on the website to check their results.
  • The CBSE 10th results will also be availed on apps like Digilocker and UMANG
  • DigiLocker is an online service app created by the Government of India under its initiative Digital India. It provides every user who has an Aadhar card with an account in the cloud.
  • The digital mark sheet, passing certificates and migration certificates can be accessed from
  • DigiLocker which can be downloaded from App Store as well as Google Play.
  • Umang is a mobile application created by the Government of India, which will also display CBSE Results 2020.

In the year 2019, a total of 17, 61,078 Class 10th students had registered for the CBSE examinations. A total of 91.1% passed the examinations that year. The examination results in 2019 were declared in the month of May. However, this year it was delayed due to the coronavirus situation by over almost two months.

Earlier, CBSE announced the results of Class 12th examinations. Overall, Thiruvananthapuram has the highest passing percentage of 97.67% followed by Bengaluru with 97.05% and Chennai with 96.17% passing percentage. Delhi West and Delhi East are following the leader tab with fourth and fifth slot respectively. This year, the passing percentage of girls is slightly higher than the boys. Girls had a passing percentage of 92.15% and boys 86.19%. Reports suggest that the highest-scoring school is Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country with an average of 98.70%.
