CA To UPSC Journey

A Chartered Accountant (CA) by qualification, Anjani made the bold decision to leave her professional path and dedicate herself fully to the challenging UPSC journey. She began her preparation in 2024 from Bhopal, relying primarily on online coaching and rigorous self-study.

After months of disciplined preparation, she appeared for the 2025 preliminary examination, followed by intense preparation for the mains and interview stages, eventually emerging successful in the final result.

Reflecting on the journey, Anjani acknowledged the uncertainty and emotional challenges that come with preparing for the UPSC exam. She said that the long preparation period can be mentally and physically exhausting, especially when one steps away from a stable career while watching peers progress in their own professions.

The unpredictable nature of the examination often leaves aspirants unsure about their success until the final list is published.

Anjani also credited her family and mentors for standing by her through the difficult phases of preparation. From her parents to her mentors who guided her during the interview stage, she says their encouragement kept her motivated. The joy of seeing her loved ones proud and happy after the result, she says, has been the most satisfying reward of her journey.
