New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: At a time when students across the country are protesting alleged leak of SSC CGL question paper leak, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has come up with some changes in the eligibility criteria of Junior Engineers (JE) Examination 2017.

Candidates concerned with Junior Engineers (Mechanical/ Electrical) recruitment in Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval) should note that degree qualifications are also included in the eligibility criteria, NDTV reported.

SSC had earlier said that Diploma candidates with at least two years of experience. Besides, aspirants with degree in Mechanical/ Electrical engineering are also eligible to apply.

On the other hand, the CHSL Tier 1 exam for 6349545 posts has been conducted by SSC in which, 1158669 candidates have appeared till March 14 out of 2797158 registered candidates.

SSC CHSL tier 1 exam will be held till 28 March 2018. The exam is being conducted by SSC at 438 venues in 92 exam centres.
