New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Amid the ongoing protest by lakhs of SSC job aspirants alleging question paper leak of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) Tier II, SSC has decided to postpone the SSC CGL tier 3 descriptive paper to May 2018.

Earlier, the Commission had scheduled it to be held on March 31, 2018. Besides, SSC had re-conducted the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam- for the exam held on February 21, 2018- at as many as '174 venues in 61 cities for 35,146 candidates. While the average attendance in Paper-I was 92.81%, Paper-II recorded 72.05% attendance.

Meanwhile, students have been demanding a time-bound CBI inquiry into the entire exams, including MTS, CHSL, CGL and CPO, conducted by the SSC.

They also want a stay order on all upcoming exams.

Besides, the students have threatened "halla boll" against the government alleging that the government is playing with their future and is insensitive towards the life of lakhs of youths.

Moreover, the SSC aspirants have given the Central government a 15-day ultimatum, till March 31, to fulfill their demands threatening that they will gherao parliament.
