Bhubaneswar: Railway job aspirants, here's good news for you all... While the Indian Railways has started the recruitment process for around 89, 000 positions in railway’s Group D and Group C sections this year, the RRB ALP/ Technician Vacancies have been increased.

Yes, you have heard right; and this is not about an increase of 100 or 200 posts-  the Railways has uploaded an official notice stating that there is possibility of an increase in the RRB ALP & Technician (CEN 01/2018) vacancies from 26502 to 60,000.

It further stated that post-wise details of enhanced vacancies will be advised on the official website of RRBs in due course. It also requested candidates to visit the official websites of RRBs regularly for updates.

This drive of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is the biggest ever in the history of India’s recruitment process.

The commencement of First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) exam for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician under Group C category in the railways will be from August 9, 2018.

Candidates will get a ‘Total Duration’ of 60 Minutes for 75 questions. However, it will be 80 minutes for the eligible PWD candidates accompanied with scribes.

NOTE: The exam will be conducted on the basis of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with Negative marking- 1/3 for each incorrect answer.

Moreover, this time the Railway Board will facilitate the candidates with the convenience of providing their cut off marks and result after the exam on their Email Ids.

The dates for the Group D exam is yet to be released but it is expected to be released this month. Besides, the Group C and D exams are expected to be completed by December 2018.

The RRB has reportedly received more than 2 crore applications for 89000 vacancies in the national transporter for the Group D and Group C posts.
