Railway Recruitment May 2018: Apply for over 8600 multiple posts

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railways, this year, is on the biggest recruitment drive. So far, crores of job aspirants have registered their names for a few lakh of jobs in the national transporter.

The Railway Recruitment Board has once again released a recruitment notification inviting applications from railway job aspirants to become a part of the biggest employer in the country.

As per the latest notification, as many as 8619 posts are vacant and applications have been sought against the vacant posts in Railway Protection Force Constable, SI and Driver divisions.

While the application process began on April 13, interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions on or before May 25.

Constable, SI & Driver: 8619 Posts

Qualification: For Sub-Inspector - Graduation/ Potential band masters course or equivalent from a recognized university.

For Constable – As per RPF rules.

Age Limit

Minimum age for Sub-Inspector and driver is 20 years while for constable it is 18 years minimum and maximum 25 years.

Age relaxation for is admissible for SC/ST candidates by 05 years. For OBC, it is 03 years.

Physical Standards

Height: UR/OBC - Male: 165, Female : 157 / SC/ST - Male : 160, Female : 152

For Marathas, Dogras, Kumaonese and other categories: Male : 163, Female : 155

Chest: Unexpanded (UR/ OBC) - Male: 80, Female: 85/ SC/ST - Male : 76.2, Female : 81.2

For Marathas, Dogras, Kumaonese and other categories: Male:  80, Female : 85

Selection Process

Candidates have to go through Four phases o selection:

Phase-I: Computer Based Test

Phase-II: PET/ PMT

Phase-III: Trade Test (For drivers/Ancillary staff/ Band)

Phase IV: Document Verification

Salary

Selected candidates as above mentioned posts will get pay scale of Rs 5200-20200 and GP of Rs 2000.
