New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has rescheduled the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Stage-II examination to February 14, 2021. Earlier examination was scheduled to be held on February 7, 2021. An official notification in this regard was issued by the NCERT in its website on Tuesday.

“In order to facilitate the students to appear in the Indian Olympiad Qualifier (IOQ) in Physics and Biology, on February 7, 2021, NCERT announces a slightly revised schedule of NTSE stage II examination 2020 superseding the previous announcement,” read the official notification issued by the NCERT.

"The new date for NTSE Stage-II examination is 14, February 2021 (Sunday) in all states/union territories. Further related information in this regard will be update through NCERT website," added the notification.

NCERT NTSE Stage 2 2020 Examination Center Change

Apart from this, the council has also released a notification for the candidates who wish to change their NTSE examination centre.

“NTSE Stage-II examination is re-scheduled for February 14, 2021 in all the States/UTs. Normally candidates are provided examination center in the States/UTs from where they had appeared in NTS Stage-I Examination. All those candidates who want to seek change of examination center due to any reason are required to submit their request to Head, Educational Survey Division in the prescribed format latest by December 28, 2020, through email at ntsexam.ncert@nic.in,” said the NCERT.

The council further cautioned the students that no request for change will be entertained after the stipulated and no change of center will be permitted within the same city, read the notice.

NCERT NTSE Stage 2 2020 Examination Admit Card

As per reports, the NCERT will upload the e-admit cards for the NTSE Stage 2 exam on its website soon which shall have all the information related to the venue, roll number, date and time of the examination.

About NCERT NTSE Examination

The National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) is conducted every year at two stages: Stage-I (State/UT level) and Stage-II (national level). About 2,000 scholarships are awarded for different stages of education right from Class 10 to the doctoral level.

Only those candidates who have cleared the Stage-I exam are eligible for the national level test. The exam comprises of two papers, Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). each of 100 marks and two-hours.

The final result shall be declared on the basis of combined scores of MAT and SAT. The selected candidates shall be informed by registered letter and through the NCERT website ncert.nic.in. Marks obtained by the candidates in written examination will be revealed to all the candidates individually through the NCERT website.
