Bhubaneswar: As many as 1.76 lakh students including 3,161 from Odisha will appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2019 today.

The fully computer based test will be held across different cities in the country including Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Cuttack and Rourkela.

The examination comprising of two papers will be held in two sittings – Paper 1 from 9 AM to 12 PM and Paper 2 from 2 PM to 4 PM. The differently abled students will get one hour extra time during the test.

Candidates are barred from carrying electronic devices and wearing rings, bracelet, ear rings and dress with big buttons.

As per reports, rank card will not be sent to candidates individually. It will be released online on June 14 but only for successful candidates.

The JEE Advanced 2019 exam, earlier scheduled to be held on May 19 this year was postponed to May 27 due to clash of the exam date with final phase of Lok Sabha polls, a notice issued by the organising authority, IIT Roorkee had informed.

JEE Advanced is the country’s top national-level engineering entrance exam conducted for admissions to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
