The result of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 was announced by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Bombay) on Friday.

Candidates can check their scores by visiting the official website of IIT Bombay https://gate.iitb.ac.in. Successful candidates will have to enter the Enrollment ID sent during registration or their Email ID and password for checking the score.

The GATE result has been announced on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in their respective papers. The score remains valid for a period of three years from the date of declaration of result.

This year, the examination was conducted on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 in two sessions (forenoon and afternoon). The examination was fully computer-based test (CBT).

All Test Papers of GATE 2021 were entirely objective type. The pattern of questions included some Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), while the remaining questions included Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and/or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

A total of 1.26 lakh candidates qualified in GATE 2021, the pass percentage this year was 17.82 per cent. Out of the total qualified candidates of GATE 2021, 98,732 are male and 28,081 are female candidates.

"The percentage of qualified candidates in individual papers varies from 8.42 per cent to 29.54 per cent," IIT-Bombay said in a release.
