Ranchi: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will reportedly conduct the class 10, 12 board exams from March 9 to 26. The examinations will be held adhering to strict compliance of Covid-19 guidelines.

According to Hindustan Times, the decision was taken in a high-level meeting of the council today.

“The board exams will be held in two shifts. The examination of matriculation (class 10) will be conducted in the first shift, while the intermediate examination (class 12) in the second shift,” said JAC chairman Arvind Prasad Singh.

Meanwhile, Singh said that the schedule of class 10, 12 board exams will be drafted in a day or two.

Due to the disruption in the study following the closure of schools in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the JAC has reportedly revised the question pattern- objective type questions will be more this year as compared to the previous years.

“There would be 30% to 40% objective type questions in a paper depending upon the subjects,” Hindustan Times quoted the JAC chairman as saying.
