Bhubaneswar: The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a decision to restructure its affiliation system for various schools across the country.

The new reforms are in compliance with the National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020. The move aims at streamlining the entire affiliation process, facilitating convenience for schools wanting or preparing to apply under various categories of affiliation.

As per the latest CBSE notification, the application process for various categories will be active 2021 onwards, and will have three windows-March 1 to 31, June 1 to 30 and September 1 to 30.
For extension of affiliation, the application window will open once a year from March 1 to May 31, the notification read.

Although the CBSE affiliation system is completely online since 2006, the restructured system will be completely digital and based on data-analytics with least human interface.
Mandatory Requirements:

Before applying for affiliation, schools must ensure that they meet all mandatory requirements as per the Affiliation Byelaws.
