CBSE Merit Scholarship: Online application submission dates extended

Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the online application submission date for single girl child scholarship schemes- CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for + 2 studies and Renewal of Online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child X Pass awarded in 2017.

For CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for + 2 studies - 2018, the last date has been extended till October 15, 2018, NDTV reported.

Earlier, the last date for submission of online applications was October 5 and hard copy of application form (renewal only) has to be submitted on or before October 31. Now, the last date for hard copy submission of application form (renewal only) is November 15, 2018.

To apply for the scholarship, students can the official CBSE website: www.cbse.nic.in.

Students who have passed Class X Examination 2018 from the CBSE affiliated schools are eligible to apply.

On the other hand, from next year onwards, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be holding exams for ‘skill education’ (vocational) and related subjects in the second half of February, the Board said on Wednesday.

However, the examination for the core academic subjects such as languages, maths, and science subjects will continue to be held in March.
