The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) have come up with an online aptitude test for the students of class 9 and 10 to help them make right career choices.

The new initiative of CBSE and NCERT has been named as ‘Tamanna’ (Try And Measure Aptitude And Natural Abilities).

By making an assessment of the strength and weakness of students through the test, Tamanna will help students make an informed decision about the subjects they will take later in class 11 and 12.

"Under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi have developed Tamanna - an Aptitude Test for Senior School Students to enable stakeholders knowing the aptitude of students of classes IX and X," CBSE said.

Meanwhile, students must know that there is no need to worry about the test as there is nothing like pass or fail in the test, rather it is just a way to measure your strength and weakness.
