The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has written to all the Heads of CBSE affiliated schools regarding ‘CBSE and National Teachers and Principals Awards 2018’ informing that the last date to apply has been extended.

“The last date for sending applications was 31st May, 2019. Considering the requests received from the stakeholders, it is hereby informed that the last date for applying for the Awards has been extended up to 15th June 2019. Other terms and conditions given in the aforesaid circular will remain the same. The shortlisted applicants will be either eligible for National Awards, or for CBSE Awards as per rules,” the Board informed.

It further said that the applications for the award would be accepted only through an online web portal. The desirous school Principals and Teachers, who have not yet applied for the award, may submit duly filled application form by visiting: http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/awardl.html

“All school heads are advised to ensure the dissemination of this information to all the teachers concerned by displaying this circular at a prominent place in the school. The circular may also be mailed or shared through other electronic mediums in case teachers are not attending school due to vacations. It is reiterated that the complete information as desired may be uploaded on the portal on or before the last date,” the circular read.

Meanwhile, CBSE has reportedly extended the date for affiliation of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) for tribal students as a "special case" till June 30.
