Bhubaneswar: Alleging discrepancies in the question papers of CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2019, the Odisha Abhibhabak Mahasangh on Tuesday staged protest in front of the Regional office of the Central Board of Secondary Education, Bhubaneswar.

If NCERT books will be used from Class 1 to Class 8, stress of students along with the financial burden on the parents will be eased, said Basudev Bhatt, secretary of the Mahasangh. He further alleged a secret nexus between private schools and book publishers.

"We demand grace marks for the students of Class 10," Bhatt said, alleging that the Hindi paper of CBSE had no proper instruction while students got questions out of syllabus for Science and set 1 and set 3 of Maths question papers were comparatively difficult than set 2 of the same subject.

Following the protest, the Regional Director (RO) of CBSE, Bhubaneswar, has reportedly written to the CBSE Chairperson and the Controller of Examinations to consider the grace mark demand of the parents’ association.
