Bhubaneswar: Putting an end to the wait of lakhs of students, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today announced that the CBSE class 10, 12 board exams will commence from May 4.

"The Practical exams will begin from March 1, and we expect all exams will conclude by June 10," said Pokhriyal.

He further said that the CBSE class 10, 12 board exams' results will be declared by July 15, 2021.

The Education reiterated that many CBSE schools are in rural areas and hence, online examinations are not possible. The exams will be held in pen-and-paper mode.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility that the CBSE students will get more gap days between the exams as compared to last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation and academic loss.

Around 30 lakh students appear for the CBSE Board Exams every year with Practical exams being conducted in January and the theory papers from February. However, the examinations got delayed this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
