Bhubaneswar: Odisha's COVID-19 caseload mounted to 3,38,121 on Saturday as 65 more people tested positive for the infection, a health department official said.

Of the fresh cases, 38 were reported from quarantine centres and 27 detected during contact tracing.

Cuttack and Sundargarh districts recorded 13 new cases each, followed by Mayurbhanj (7).

The death toll remained at 1,918 as no new fatality was reported due to the infection in the last 24 hours.

Fifty-three other COVID-19 patients have also died due to comorbidities, the official said.

Odisha now has 651 active cases, while 3,35,499 people have recovered from the disease.

The state has so far conducted over 85.98 lakh sample tests for COVID-19, including 18,523 on Friday, and the positivity rate stands at 3.93 per cent.
