Bhubaneswar: The Capital city of Bhubaneswar continues to be the COVID-19 hotspot in the State with four more samples from the Smart City testing positive on Tuesday.

Including these four cases, a total of five COVID-19 cases were reported in the past 24 hours in the state taking the tally of confirmed cases to 60. In the past 24 hours, 564 samples were tested, informed Health department official.

Soon after the Health department informed about the cases (Patient no - 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60), the travel history of the patients were released by the I&PR department.

Travel History of COVID-19 Patient No. 56

The patient is a 66-year-old man from Jajpur district with travel history to Kolkata. He travelled from Babughat in Kolkata to Sathipur in Jajpur in a van (Tata Magic) along with 17 other passengers on March 28. From Sathipur, he travelled to Ganeshpur in a fish transport vehicle and reached Jajpur Town on March 29 by foot.

He has been shifted to Ashwini COVID Hospital in Cuttack.

Odisha COVID-19 Patient No. 57

The 50-year-old male from Bomikhal containment area of Bhubaneswar is the neighbour of positive patients 7, 8, 22 and 39. He remained at home in Babylon Apartment in Jaydurga Nagar since lockdown. His samples were collected as part of surveillance in the containment zone.

The patient has been shifted to KIMS COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar.

COVID-19 Patient No. 58

A 51-year-old female from the restricted Bomikhal area is also the neighbour of some positive patients in the region and a resident of Babylon Apartment at Jaydurga Nagar. Her samples were collected as part of surveillance in the containment zone.

She has also been shifted to the KIMS COVID hospital for treatment.

Coronavirus Positive Case No. 59

The 75-year-old person from the same Bomikhal containment area is also a neighbour of other positive patients and resident of Babylon Apartment at Jaydurga Nagar. His samples were collected as part of surveillance in the restricted zone.

He has been shifted to KIMS COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar.

COVID-19 Positive patient No. 60

The 51-year-old person is a resident of Jharpada area in Bhubaneswar. His samples were earlier collected as 'contact case'. He has been shifted to the COVID hospital in KIMS for further treatment.
